I am glad to see that that the Senate Commerce Committee is holding a hearing on Privacy Shield/ Schrems II.  For the good of TransAtlantic commerce AND privacy, it's essential for the USG to collaborate with the European Commission to develop and adopt a Privacy Shield 2.0.  This would bring about more certainty for business about data flows, and also ensure that US companies have assurance about what privacy standards to apply when receiving EU data.  It's definitely a win/win.
