On Friday, the National Privacy Commission (NPC) announced that it will be holding off the launch of its eRehistro system in order to "make way for a complete solution that integrates all the services related to data privacy compliance."  The NPC originally planned to launch the eRehistro system as early as January of this year, but the schedule kept getting pushed back.  This latest announcement also stated that the validity of existing Data Protection Officer registrations issued in 2019 and 2020 is extended to 8 March 2022.  We can probably expect the eRehistro system to be launched around this date as well.
